Launched in 2007 the Continuum of Learning is an initiative of the Community Foundation, The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Central Illinois, and University of Illinois Springfield aimed at improving Sangamon County's economic future through increased educational attainment of its citizens.
The project focuses on education across the lifespan, from cradle to career, and is crucial to keeping Sangamon County a growing, thriving community. The goal of this community partnership is to be sure that every resident of Sangamon County is "Ready to Learn. Ready to Work. Ready to Succeed."
One of the initiatives that emerged in August 2015 was the Sangamon Success Report, which provides recommendations for improving outcomes for less-advantaged children in Sangamon County.
